1978-1980:          Spartan School of Aeronautics. Aircraft Mechanics Course
                               Perfect Attendance.

1980:                     Received Airframe and Powerplant Licenses.

                                Started working Eastern Airlines as an Aircraft Mechanic

                                First Glider lesson. Soloed in a Glider.

 1981:                    Commercial Glider Rating.

                                Private SEL Rating.

1983:                     Flight Instructor Glider Rating

                                Learned to Skydive.

1984:                     Took Aerobatic Training Course in a Great Lakes.

1986:                     Started working for American Airlines as an Aircraft Mechanic in Tulsa.

2001:                     Inspection Authorization in addition to the A&P Licenses.

2002:                     Became Designated Pilot Examiner for Gliders

2003:                     Commercial SEL Pilots Rating.

                                Started flying as part time Aerial Applicator (Crop Duster).

2005:                     Banner Towing Waiver for Aerial Advertising.

2006:                     Attended first aerobatic contest as a volunteer.

2007:                     US Nationals Aerobatic Championships won 3rd place Glider Sportsman.

2008:                     US Nationals Aerobatic Championships won 2nd place Glider Intermediate.

2009:                     US Nationals Aerobatic Championships won 1st place Glider Unlimited.

                                U.S. National Glider Aerobatic Champion.

Aircraft Flown: SEL; Most Cessna types, several Cherokee/Arrow types, L-5, L-19, PA-18, Husky, Scout, Citabria, Great Lakes, Wilga, PA-25, A188A, A188B, T188C, Glasair, Open Cirrus, Blanik (L13, L23, L33), Most Schweizer Types, Ka6, Hp-13, G109B, Twin Astir, Duo Discus T, LS4, Discus B, ASK 21, ASK 23, DG 505, Pilatus B4, and Swift S-1.

 

Total Pilot Hours 2300 plus.

Total Glider Flights 1400 plus


Other Accomplishments

 

 

High School Varsity Wrestling, Varsity Track, Set School Pole Vaulting Record.

 

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-I) Worked for hospital based ambulance service and Air Ambulance Service.

 

Volunteer Fireman for 12 years including Fire Chief for Fire/Rescue Squad.

 

Emergency Response Team for American Airlines includes Medical First Responder and Rescue Squad for Confined Space and Rope Rescue.

 

Flew several youngsters for Free in powered aircraft and gliders through the Young Eagles program.
